Not sure if it was mentioned here, but this handy little app speeds your GPS fix. For some reason mine was taking forever and is now much snappier.

You need BusyBox installed. More importantly, you need a BusyBox that wasn't installed via your Titanium Backup installation. I went to the market and installed the standalone BusyBox app on top of my existing one and it works fine.

I didn't know my gps had a problem. Ignorance WAS bliss.

EDIT: for using gps in other countries. Possibly you got the wrong phone section. We're CDMA. We don't get around much
