app for football scores??

bauer

Newbie
im looking for an app for live football/soccer scores, but hopefully one that will email me when a goal happens

incase im not at the game etc, so i can set it to email me when a goal is scored in a certain game?

is there one available?

EDIT, it doesnt have to email me, but alert me on the phone someway

I use Fotmob too and I think it's great. All the leagues you could ever want with customisations for notifications down to league or individual game level, tables, news, stats. Love it. I can't imagine there's a better one...

cheers mate, excellent, ill give it ago then, i bloody love this phone, so much better than my old n95

I use the Google app 'Scoreboard'. It covers all kinds of other sports too and also has a handy widget that you can use to show when games are coming up for your favourite teams.

You can set it to notify you on the start/end of a game or whenever there's a goal. It's sometimes a few minutes behind the action but generally works pretty well.

I use 'Soccer score centre' Very professional looking (club logos etc) and constant live updates if needed. Really good app.

Is the Soccer Score Centre a paid app? I can't seem to find it.

the Google scoreboard has some very bad recent reviews in the market, puts me off...

I was just about to post a question like this. I've tried all the suggestions but I think I'll stick with Soccer Livescores for now.

Livescores and Sportstap. I haven't tried any others but with sportstap you can set your favorites and theres a widget for current scores and upcoming games.

Sportstap won't let me set a football (soccer to the Americans) team as my favourite, which makes the widget pretty useless for me.
Will stick with Scoreboard for now, despite the bad reviews it works fine for what I need.

I'd take a look at SportMate - I've used the Java version for 3 years but the Android is much better. Lots of stats, H2H, last 15 games data. Event updates and push alerts alerts I find to be much faster than the others.
