I've noticed that when someone had an issue with one of the roms here 9 times out of 10 it seems to be a bad flash which is caused by the file being corrupt so I decided to post this for the benefit of those who may be new to rooting or may not have access to a computer right away (like me).
This handy little app will verify the md5 sum of any zip file you have in your sd, you can verify against a manually entered string or a .md5 file. This is what I use whenever I download a new rom.
It is always good practice to verify the md5 when you download a new rom before flashing. It will eliminate extra time having to restore your backup just to redownload the file again and could save loads of time searching the forum for an answer to an issue that could have been prevented.
If this helps even one person out I'm glad.
