Sounds like some type of automated cascade. I recall that this has happened a number of times before where some sell off lowered the stock price and triggerred other automated system to sell as well due to plummetting stock prices.

I really am not trying to bash apple here.

But, simple marketing principals.

You gain money really quickly and inflate really quickly.

That bubble pops and you usually end off worse than you were before the whole ordeal began.

Apple has great marketing, and they are not lacking in the business department.

The problem is their strategies lack long term.

It's easy to lose a lot when you're that large, it'll come back eventually. I'd say this is a good time to buy stock if you ask me.
