Root Application location

Hey all,

Where are the applications you download actually located on the phone? I ask this because as I'm flashing ROM's I would like to have a "core" group of apps that I use for every ROM on the SD card so that I can just install them using a file manager and the .apk rather than redownloading everything and installing one at a time. I already do this with the amazon marketplace apk but would like to be able to do this with apps I've already paid for such as setCPU or Boot Manager.

Basically, where are the .apk files for these programs found? I remember finding the voicemail apk from mikG to get supersonic working but can't seem to located downloaded & installed apps.

Not sure what this will do for because you still have to download the apk and install it but........

Maybe I wasn't clear or am using the wrong terminology.

I have the applications downloaded and installed on my phone now. I would like to be able to put the installer file onto my SD card so that I can just install it from that whenever I am setting up a new ROM.

Is it possible?

a google search said they were in data/app.

i get the idea, like if you dl an apk and then install it with a filemanager, right?

Hope that helps. maybe try google and you can interpret the results better than i did?

Yeah thats what I'm going for.

I think that would be much faster than trying to redownload them or doing titanium

Strange I dont see either one of the apps there

If I understand it correctly, Titanium has an option to make a zip of itself you can put on your sd card and flash to restore it I think.

I'm thinking its probably just not possible, probably as a way to keep people from just giving out the installer files without paying for the app.
