Help applications disappeared

So I just woke up today and most of my applications disappeared from my all apps page except for a few (adobe, voice recorder, and FM radio). Anyone know what to do. All of the applications are still listed in the app manager but I have to search for them to actually use them(search on the all apps page doesn't show anything other than what I listed). Thanks

by apps page do you mean home screens? or app drawer?

did you by chance accidentally load or change "scenes"..or as mentioned, were you hooked to a pc

It wasn't attached to the computer and I didn't change anything. I'm not sure how it happened, and I was on the all apps page(the one you open with the little up buttion). All of my apps are not on my sd card. Even the ones that were originally on the phone (calc, navigation, etc.) are gone. I downloaded an application manager and I can use them through it which meanas they are still there, but it takes several more steps and is annoying.

I had the same thing happen to me. the verizon peeps couldn't help at first, just sent me a new droid x and the same thing happened with new phone. They got to the bottom of it. It was my sd card. had to reformat it and then all was fine.

the reason for it was a corrupt file had been saved to the sd card and whenever i turned on the phone (new or old one) the phone read the corrupt file! Any app that was on the sd card appeared to have disappeared! They were there but unable to be read! Very annoying and it is a known problem with android, but seems only 1 verizon person knew about it! Thank god i ended up talkin to him after about 10 others who didn't have a clue!

had to post somewhere on the www so it may help someone else cuz it was so frustratin!!

btw....if your phone is acting up, DONT power off by the normal way, do a battery pull so it doesn't save the file to the sd card! i guess when ya power down it saves a backup of all your settings including any problem files!!

Thanks for sharing! I'm having issues with mine so I'll try that later today. My phone came with an 8gig SD, but I upgraded to a 16gig. I can't get my phone to be read by any computer, so I decided to just use an adapter and plug in the card directly to the computer. I copied the stuff from the 8gb to a folder on a windows desktop, then copied and pasted onto the 16gb. Phone didn't read most of the apps right away. It showed the "com.xxxxx.process" processes, but would force close when I would try and open it. Well those processes are gone now, but apps keep disappearing. I'll try a reformat later today and see what happens. Thanks!
