so we get this kind of question almost everyday. the problem is that there are millions of apps that have notification icons. so unless it is something popular like facebook or youtube, most of these questions go unanswered.
also 99% of the time, the phone in question does not belong to the person asking. otherwise you can just look in the phone's notifications to find out. but since this is probably not your phone, why not just ask the person?
but than again you have that 1% where somebody might recognize it. either way i wish your luck in your inquisition.
