Help Apps being deleted on Evo

Okay, at first I thought I was doing something wrong but now I know its not me.

I have been noticing that random apps (or icons in the apps screen) have been disappearing. One or two at a time. The latest one was Angry Birds Rio. I just played it the other day, and now its gone, at least the icon is. I have to redownload it and it states its overwriting the app, so the orginial must still be there and after the reload it had all my settings.

It did this the other day with Titanium Backup too. I have a stock EVO non-rooted.

1. What is going on?
2. How can I get the icons back when they decide to disappear?

color me confused..Titanium requires root

are any of your apps on sd?

if yes..by what method

and is the problem only while you have the phone connected to a pc via usb?

Certainly answer Mr. Ed's questions, as they are very important, but when this happens, have you looked in manage applications?

Sorry about the confusion.
I am not rooted, however I have used the Z4Root in the past with Titanium. However, Z4Root doesn't work currently but thats another issue. I kept Titanium on just in case I at some point use UnRevoke.

I use Apps2SD, so yes my apps are on the SD somewhere.
