are some people not experiencing grounding issues?

Have an issue on a pillow, but not on a hard surface.

My solution don't put it on a pillow and hold it in your hand...tee hee "insert dirty comment here".

That goes for me too, but I didn't know that until I tested it for this thread because I always either hold it, or lay it down on my desk where it works fine. It isn't a problem for me at all.

No grounding issues on mine or the one I bought for my girlfriend. I see a little bit of the screen rising at the lower left corner but it doesn't seem to be a problem for now. Haven't checked her screen to see if it's raised or not.

I have the grounding issue on the upper 3rd of the screen. If I put it on my fabric couch or wooden coffee table, I can't slide the notification bar down. No amount of pressure can do it. I used that draw! app to test the screen as well.

I believe some people don't have the issue, but I also think some people are not testing it properly and just think they are unaffected. I'll take my phone in next week before the 30 days is up, but hopefully HTC's news about the software patch will also fix this.

HW 003. Placed Evo in car mount (suction on window). Cannot access notifications pulldown because it won't detect the slide downward.

Sucks because this is my ONLY issue with this phone.. otherwise the build quality is actually quite nice.

Hmm I purchased from Wirefly though... could I walk into a Sprint store to exchange it or would I have to go through Wirefly since I'm still in my first 30 days?..

Looks like I'll just wait until the 30 days has passed and do it through Sprint.

Isn't this ground issue separate from the multi-touch patch promised by HTC?

I have the grounding issue on a hwv 0003. Can't use the top of the screen when laid down on a surface. Sucks because otherwise it is great.

I took it by a nearby RS today and the guy had never heard of the problem. I had to show him using the draw to share app. He tried recalibrating it and all, but to no avail. I don't know if going to a Sprint store and getting a new one at this time is the right solution. Is it just a crap shoot on getting one that works? Or is it a better bet to try in a few weeks and hopefully HTC will have addressed the issue in production?

Edit: Forgot to say mine was a launch day EVO.
