are some people not experiencing grounding issues?

I made a thread about my evo. I experienced and I am experiencing grounding issues when my evo is on a clothe and when on a pillow. Today, I experienced the same effects while it is on my notebook and it is starting to annoy/worry me.

I know HTC is working on a patch but I was curious to know if anyone has not experienced any of these issues, especially on the kind of surfaces I mentioned.
 
I hold mine most of the time as well but there are times when I like to simply rest it on a surface and use one hand. I'm tempted to swap it it for a new unit

I started noticing it when typing while its flat on a surface. Unlike others that can replicate it (someone said the top of their screen never works while flat) mine is very sporatic. For example, this morning i was typing an im and the letter S would not work. Worked when holding it but not when laid flat. Then for no reason it started working again. I am currently typing this in the same spot on a notebook at work and haven't missed an S yet.
 
For those saying they do not have issues, are you trying motion on the top half of the screen. The bottom of the screen is never the problem for me, its always responsive. It's the top of the screen that becomes problamitic when set on certain surfaces or just flat in general now it appears.

I have no problems on any portion of the screen on any type of surface that I set it. My screen works flawlessly.
 
Have an issue on a pillow, but not on a hard surface.

My solution don't put it on a pillow and hold it in your hand...tee hee "insert dirty comment here".
 
No screen issues here.. Hardware version 3. I have tried everyday possible to recreate the grounding issue and my screen works perfectly.
 
Hmmm.... interesting. Laying my evo on top of a table, no problems. Laying it on a pillow, on the couch, I have issues with getting the touch screen to respond appropriately. Personally, this is not a deal breaker as I am holding onto my evo 95% of the time anyway.

HW v3 by the way.
 
Huge grounding issues here- hardware version 3. I also have massive screen seperation too.

I think I'm going to return it tonight.
