Are widgets not a problem for bat?

Ok, I know using widgets is going to drain more battery than not using widgets.

However, when reviewing the ways to save battery I didn't notice anything about widgets which I find weird.

Maybe the writer just didn't want to include that because, it in some ways defeats the purpose of an android? maybe it was just an overwhelmingly "common sense" point?

Or is it safe to be liberal with the widgets?

(I realize widgets different widget to widget most likely.. but, it is more of a general question)

It all really depends. A widget is going to use more battery than not having any widgets like you said BUT it all depends on how much battery you allow them to use. If you have a widget that updates every 30 minutes then it would use a good bit of your battery, compared to having a widget update once a day. The more it updates, the more battery it uses (duh). I personally have all my widgets set to manual update so they barely use any battery but I do allow my beautiful widget for weather update every hour. Hope I helped

That works.

Besides static widgets.. (the quick on/off bar)

A clock and weather.. I don't really want a lot of widgets.

I prefer to have some tastefully added and keep it at that.
