Are you a Mac or PC?

As a former Windows user turned Mac user, I can say I really dont care for Windows at all, it feels so old and dumb. Especially with all the new features coming out in Lion next month, Windows just looks and feels dated from the 90s. Having said that, you cant beat the prices on Windows laptops really. I got an HP with a 17.3 inch LED screen, 8GB of RAM, an i5 processor with turbo boost that can speed each core up to 2.9Ghz, a 1GB Radeon HD dedicated graphics card and a 750GB hard drive all for under $800. To get all that in a Macbook, I would have had to spend like $2500+. So I use my i3 dual core 27 inch iMac for photo work and the HP laptop to burn thru the heavy stuff like rendering HD videos in Sony Vegas or stuff in Illustrator. I just never use it for anything else so I avoid most of Windows pretty much :)

Neither, I use linux on desktop and laptop. Just bought an Augen netbook because it runs Android 2.1, which is linux at its core. Now if I can just figure out how to port a linux version to it I am more familiar with ...

PC at the moment.

Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux
1.6 GHz CPU
2GB RAM
128GB SSD
1280x800 multitouch screen
Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, SD card, ethernet, VGA and 2xUSB.
pocket sized

What are you running win7 and linux on that is pocket sized?

One of these...
UH900 : Fujitsu Hong Kong
....AFAIK only available in Hong Kong, and comes with a wireless mouse. Although the website indicates a 64GB SSD, they do in fact come with 128GB SSD. Bought it at Broadway in HK 2 months ago.

I use it every day at work now, although I do plug an external monitor in when at my desk. I also use it as my sole PC when travelling, also have my Galaxy S Android phone as well. :)

I also have a 3 year old 15inch Macbook Pro at home.

Ok, first I just have to say, that I think the whole reference to Windows machines as "PC"s and machines running OS X as "Mac"s is just stupid. It doesn't matter what operating system its equipped with, if it sits on your desk, or on your lap, and is used for personal computing, then it is a Personal Computer. Its a pet peeve of mine, whenever this comes up in conversation. Sorry, the tech nerd inside me is impossible to contain most of the time.

That being said, I'm not a big fan of OS X, because, as a programmer, I find it easier to run programs used for development in a Windows environment. I used to hate on OS X users because I thought it was an OS for dumb people who didn't understand how to work a computer. But after maturing a bit and studying Computer Science for a couple years, I quickly learned the error of my ways and ditched that point of view. There are some redeeming features of OS X. For one, it carries on the legacy of Unix which is kinda cool. I also like GNU/Linux for some applications, such as its price point (free ninety-nine is my favorite price). I wanna build my own desktop soon, and I have to decide if I want to shell out money for Windows, or just go with a GNU/Linux distro before I start the planning process.
