Are you committed to the Bionic?

This is what I did to acquire my Droid. I bought the Droid Used from a Man upgrading to a Rezound. Then I had an open Line, Upgraded the Line for 30 bucks and tax, It was the Samsung 4g Flip phone, It was so generic I already forgot it's name LOL. Anyways, I flipped it around and Sold that Samsung Phone so it was pretty much a wash with selling the Samsung Phone after I bought the Bionic.

After the Update, I'm pretty happy with my phone. The only thing that bothers me is how slow the Facebook ap is. On my Droid 3 it was pretty decent. Other than that I enjoy the Phone, hasn't given me that WOW factor, but with a Dual Core Processor and 4g LTE, which is Pretty good here in Sacramento, I'm quite Happy with it. I can't wait for the Droid 4 Because I'm a Keyboard kind of Person.

Excited for the ICS OS Update, I think I read or was told it might come out March.

Oh Bought the Extended Battery, OEM from Verizon and an Extended Battery Case from EBAY and the Battery has lived far beyond expectations. With Low to Moderate Use, Easily Near 24 Hours, With Heavy Usage, Facebook, text, I get 12-16 With maybe 20 Percent Juice Left. One time to test how good the Batter was, I was at 10 Percent On heavy Usage using WI-FI I got Two Hours or more!

Take a look at the message in the link in my previous message. It is the accumulation of a lot of investigations and solutions by a lot of people with various BSOD problems.

That's why I mentioned the battery was charged and the phone on. I didn't swap out batteries or such because it happened on the 14th day I had the phone and I felt it best to exchange the phone out while I could, although the manager at the store I bought it from didn't want to since I was one day over the refund/exchange timeframe. Fortunately the Verizon rep on the phone got angry with her and made arrangements for me at the other store in town to get a new phone to swap it for.

I've made my views plain from day one - I love this phone. I can get well over 8 hours of play time on the stock battery, 15 on the extended - and I have 2 of each. I don't experience many hiccups at all, and I'm happy to say that ICS (w/o data thus far) works great on my phone (ICS4BIONIC, not anything from Moto - yet).

I wish Moto would get ICS out now and forget about all the other updates, this thing would be stupendous with ICS with full data available to us.

I'm committed (and maybe I should be as well :p ) to my BIONIC.

Perhaps I misunderstood, but are you saying you are running ICS on your Bionic? If so, may I ask how?

Google search ICS4BIONIC. It's an ICS ROM that is still having the kinks worked out. Phone calls, SMS, GPS, they've got all that working now, and they've whittled down what's "not working" to 3G/4G data connection and the camera. You'd be stuck using 1x data if you were to flash this ROM right now, but you can use it just to see what ICS would be like and then go back to a different ROM.

Picked the Bionic up on Sept 15. I am not a huge phone gamer so I don't have battery life issues. I came from an OG Droid so the speed of this phone is amazing to me. Also 4G is impressive. I think on 2 seperate days (months ago) I either had phone or VZW related loss of my internet. However since the updates absolutely no problems.

With ICS on the way it gives me something very exciting to look forward to.

Oh so I am envious of OLED displays, that would be about it... Other than that, love this phone, could easily use it longer than the contract. I am generally a Moto fanboi, but for a reason.

I also love my Bionic, especially since I installed the .901 update, it has been the most solid phone Ive ever had since then and no more data drop issues at all. Running with the extended battery this phone is great and while I do like the slim sexiness of the Razr Maxx with its monster 3300mah battery, its not worth dropping $600 to get off contract, basically, Bionic is is more than capable compared to everything else out right now and Im happy to have it.

Well coming from the iPhone, I really did like the Bionic when I first got it, But after having it for a few months I am done with this phone.. granted I did update to .901 and the phone was great but for some reason I can't stand the screen quality. Just got my 3rd replacement bionic and can't wait to call up verizon tonight and see if I can get either a GN or Rezound :)

Oh, so this is an unofficial thing. Well, hopefully they do an official one soon, or I may be interested, if they improve the data.

Unfortunately, I can't share the enthusiasm here. I bought 3 Droid Binoics on Sep 8. I started having data connection issues with two of them right away.

So far, I've had four Bioncis, was given a Droid RZR to try and finally a Galaxy Nexus.

My wife has had three Bionics. My son is away at college and only has had one Bionic.

As I tried to point out to Verizon, my son never had problems, while I've consistently had data connection problems. They finally decided to check the network in my area and determined that I live in a marginal 4G area. With the handoff problems, Ive never had much luck with the Bionic.

Right now, I am waiting for the RZR Maxx to be considered not new so Verizon will swap my two remaining Bionics out. The Droid RZR battery life was not good here since even with 4G turned off, the phone struggles to maintain a data connection. The Nexus is too different from Moto blur for my wife and my son doesn't care unless he is at home.

But to me, the Bionic has been nothing short of a giant pain in the rear. When it works, it is a great phone, as good as anything out there almost six months later. When it doesn't, my original Droid works circles around it since it doesn't work at all,

So you want to go from a Bionic which has issues going from 4g to 3g and move to a Razr Maxx which has a bigger battery but probably the same issues struggling with a data connection as the Razr.

,

if you live in a KTA then another phone is not going to help your service issues. you should probably just leave VZW since they know the service in your area is bad and cant provide for you.
