Are you getting one?

I got my Blackberry Playbook via the developer offering, but I still might get one to hae one. Just not sure where it would fit into my daily routine though.

Still on the fence.
I sold my free developer playbook 2 weeks ago for $140 on craigslist. It's great hardware let down by restrictive software...

Sounds like that would come in handy. Presumably if the socket is providing power then USB powered portable hard drives would work too?

Kinda defeats the purpose of buying a small, portable tablet, but its nice to have the option.

I don't see how it defeats the purpose. Load up content for a days worth of travel, when you get to your hotel room, refresh your content from your portable drive, then use for the return flight.

Sure it doesn't work for daily "around town" usage, but I bet you'll get accustomed to it pretty quick. Tether through your phone, and it almost doesn't matter...

EDIT: And yes, I was hoping for MicroSD, but it's still a great deal without it. I've got wifi most places I go to on a daily basis, and a USB key on my keychain with FoxFi on my phone for when I don't.

Posted in another thread...

BUT do remember that ICS/JB do support USB OTG so just buy a OTG cable from eBay and you can plug huge flash drives into it for media consumption. I can plug my 64GB flash drive in my Galaxy Nexus and have a TON more storage.

The assumption is they will work with the cloud and proud N7.

i bought the 16 gig today. i could of gotten by with the 8gb but being that this is my first tablet and im not sure how much i am going to want to store on it i upped to the 16. i didnt want a rear camera and wouldnt have minded the sd card slot, but far from a deal breaker.

this will just be a toy around the house and for travel. my GN has done a fine job for traveling but it wouldnt hurt to have a larger screen for movies or games. 7" is a good size, 10" was just too big for me.

I really like it and having the Galaxy Nexus wanted to get in but honestly after the nightmare of dealing with the issues of my TF201 and ASUS, I said Id never buy any of their products ever again. Hopefully you guys don't have the issues the Prime did but they jaded me. In the future if they're successful maybe Samsung or Moto will get the next Nexus tab, then I'll buy

What kind of problems did you have?

Dead GPS out of box, Poor Wifi/BT performance (about 1-2mb down max while both are activated out of 20+M connection), ANR issues, and when they offered the GPS extension kit they didn't ship it to me and a bunch of other people. Tried contacting Asus at multiple numbers, opened a BBB complaint and had to start a list over on XDA which ballooned to about 100 people (some of which are members here on this board) before Gary Key and Hai Trat contacted me to get it all straightened out. Honestly if this was made by any other company I would have pre-ordered yesterday.

Oh, well I hope that their involvement with google now will take care of that bull

I will definitely be purchasing a 16 gb Nexus 7. For the price, you can't beat it. I would get the 8 gb, but I really want to put my music on it and 8 is a bit small for all of my music and apps.

Ooh yeah...going with the 16 gig. Since I have my shiny new 32 gig Galaxy S3 with a 64 gig card and 50 gig drop box and will do Google drive, I think I will be pretty set.
