Ask... ask... ask....

We live in the middle of four/five large cities, all on a 20-40 minutes drive. Amsterdam has great musea: Rijks and Van Gogh being the very best imho. They both reopened after a long period so this spring is gonna be great.

If there were no bounderies (money or otherwise) where would you go, what are you dreaming of seeing with your own eyes?

First and foremost i'd like to explore most of the continent I live on, thentThe American south where blues was born, Detroit where such good cars were once produced (there haven't been any good cars for thirty or more years IMO) and generally anywhere that has a long human history, which I guess is just about everywhere!

How far is a long way for you to drive in one day?

Errr... depends... it's 500 km to Paris. 1600 km to Barcelona.
Here in Europe we can (are allowed to) drive 100-130 km/hour on most highways.
More important: the drive itself is part of the journey.

Best car ever built?

Best or my favourite? Hard to say which was the best because there are so many I'm still only learning about now. Just had a quick look to try to find one I found out about recently but can't even recall the name of it. In lieu of that here's the best car ever built:

My favourite however is the '36 Ford coupe, here's a hot rodded version:

I used to own a '32 Ford roadster hot rod, the pic is in the muscle car thread in the automotive sub forum.

What do you drive?

Love the hot rod!

Driving a decent Volkswagen Golf tdi and a Fiat Barchetta these days. We had a '72 Volkswagen Beetle, '71 Pontiac Firebird Formula 455 and a '77 Chevy Blazer on swampers.

You?

Public transport. It's far, far cheaper than driving in this day and age, especially with my lead right foot. Maybe one day if I come good financially again I'll build a rod based on a mid thirties pickup truck with a small block Chev V8 (305 CID, long stroke and narrow bore, makes for good low end torque) and 4X4 running gear. Have had waaaaay too many cars in my time to list them, I'd be flat out trying to remember them all.

Do you mind if I go now? Time for me to go horizontal. (Good way also of getting out of thinking of another question and subject to discuss.)

TMI for you lot!

When will the conservatives, (Liberal Party, bad name for a right wing party) who are about to come into power next election, realise their idea of a fast broadband network will leave us lagging behind the rest of the world?

probably never?:)

would you rather only be able to travel by
tiptoeing or country line dancing?

would you rather have a paper cut on your tongue or between your toes

Cos these guys are from Mars. Lack of gravity forces them to let go all other forces of nature and game rules.

Would you rather eat dog or cat food?
