Root ASOP - Salvage-Mod v1.4 question...

anyone tried this ROM?? i havent flashed an ASOP yet and i was looking at this one....

i think that is one of the few aosp roms i have not tried yet. maybe i tried one of the early builds of it. i have not tried the latest. might have to try it at some point. just make a nandroid backup and wipe really well and try it out.

just keepin mind that going to and from sense to aosp really requires that you wipe really good. i would wipe data, dalvik cache and cache three times and flash superwipe and then flash the rom.

i havent seen that much about it....a few threads on XDA here and there....maybe i'll give it a try......i wipe cache, dalvik cache, and data 3x and then flash superwipe before i flash every ROM lol...probly overkill but, i havent had a problem flashing any ROMS yet so i'll just stick with it lol...

So I tried this one out this weekend -- I was actually really impressed. Seemed even snappier than decks, and had some cool tweaks. Unlike decks, though, this is not based off of CM7, so you can't use all those themes on the market (there is one blue theme someone made for this rom on xda).

Cool. Any other impressions of this?

I think the last time I might have used Savage was back in the FroYo days - and that was many moons ago.

You know, not too much else to add aside from being impressed with the speed, and a few extras it had (it has it's own version of power-control widgets like deck's, a few nice visual effects, option for 7 homescreens on the stock launcher...)

But I didn't stay on it longer than half a day -- I keep trying AOSP roms because I like the idea of how light and quick they are, but then I remember that I really don't like they way they look (especially the hard/blocky menus, etc)... so I always find myself back at eye candy like Sense or MIUI.

But if you are an AOSP-loving person, it's definitely worth trying out.
