I look at this as my fall-back phone. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I could definitely live with it.

Well..as expected I guess. 320x480 Small Screen Capacitive touch, year and a half old processor and about the same specs as my 2 year old Fuze.....sigh....

Android 2.1 and Sense is nice though. Don't think I'd want to settle for this phone though sorry AT&T keep trying your still a year behind the other guys...

but congrats to those who will like this...surely it beats the backflop. but that was going to be easy :)

Anyone know if ATT will manage to butcher this like they did the backflip?
I could be wrong, but I think what was seen in the video will be the final, out-the-door product. We're only 6days from the proposed launch, & he took the time in the video to go through a lot of features...

Yes, the press release mentioned all of the google apps being available, so there is hope...and why oh why do people have to pay $230 for this and wait for a $100 rebate when they can get the Iphone for $199....wtf?

Tready...the promotion card usually means a loaded Visa Card. I got one when I mailed in the rebate for my wifes Impact.

Anyone else find this to be less than mediocre considering how long most of these specs have been out?

Actually it looks like the Legend minus 128MB RAM...

Engadget says it has 384MB but AT&T's official site says it has 256...

This seems to be just HTC bringing the legend to the US pretty much, in combination with at&t trying to have another released android phone.

I think this is a good release. Obviously they are going to have a High end android device soon. Its pretty much inevitable. But just because its not a 1Ghz processor device, doesn't by any means its a bad phone. For to other smartphone manufacturers like blackberry, this would a great device. But that's not the point either though, this will be a fine smartphone with fine specs. Enough said.

My big problem isn't with the processor, though it is really old. My problem is with the screen. I need at least a 3.5 inch display to type accurately.

EDIT: Also is it just me or does it appear that this thing has no LED flash?

lol. well don't hope for for too much screen. you might end us up with a dell streak.

Nope, not enough. We already have a small screened, old technology processor Android.

Do you want a keyboard-get a Backflip, do you refuse to have a keyboard-get this.

Do you want to see what Android SHOULD be in June 2010- go to another carrier, or drop $500+ on a Nexus One.

800x480 and Snapdragon(728-1ghz) should be minimum for "serious" Android phones nowadays, since you are going to be locked into the phone for a 2 year contract.

And courtesy of AT&T is a picture of the back of the phone with the cover off...
