Root [AT&T] CM 10.2 Can't type - no keyboard?

I just installed CM 10.2. I'm trying to use it, but I cannot TYPE ANYTHING. A keyboard doesn't even pull up at all. It says "Unfortunately, Android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped."

I can't install a keyboard from playstore. Was I supposed to flash something for a keyboard? I have no idea what is going on...

I'm lucky I could manage to get back in to bootloader to access recovery. I have been accessing recovery through my laptop, but this time my computer was not detecting my phone. I remember AOSP/CM having an option to "reboot to recovery" when I had it on my HTC Evo. What happened to that?

Weird you might have had a bad flash or bad download. I don't think gapps has anything to do with the keyboard.

In quite a few 4.4 roms, devs have the reboot to recovery option hidden. To remedy, settings/dev options/advanced reboot menu.
