Root [AT&T] Unrooting SG3 failed.

How exactly did you do this? I had a similar experience this weekend, trying to get back to stock from cyanogen installer, and am now stuck with 4.0.4 and no cellular, no sound, no camera.

Couldn't ever get odin to do a flash, I now know this was probably KNOX related, bought mobile odin and did a reflash of file without the computer, and am now stuck unable to root phone and try other things.

So glad you got yours fixed.

I couldn't go without a phone this whole week at work without being fired, so I ordered a Nexus 5 arriving tomorrow. If I can ever get this thing back to stock, I'll sell it.

Ah jeez that sucks to hear bud. Hope you haven't sold it just yet. What phone do you have? The SG3 i presume?

ok thats what the problem might be phones arent compatible with all versions of odin your gonna wanna use this odin Odin307.zip | by mrRobinson for Galaxy S 3 this link is provided from this link here [HOWTO] [ROOT] No Tripping Flash Counter - [ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers / Sasktel] - xda-developers

You are a life saver!

Not sold yet. If I can ever get it rooted I know I can fix it. Yes, it's a SG3.

In the quote above click the Odin307.zip link and download that. Once you got Odin loaded make sure to put your device in download mode and download the file from this link [HOWTO] [ROOT] No Tripping Flash Counter - [ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers / Sasktel] - xda-developers Pick ATT(Presuming that is your carrier) and have the file download. Once you have that, go to Odin and click the PDA button. Look for the file you just downloaded and select it and hit start. Tell me if that works out for ya mate and we can move on to the next steps. Again sorry for taking so long to reply.

Hello guys. I have the same, damn, annoying problem. (Rusty Otter i love you!) I have spent a lot of time trying to fix this but no luck, but it seems Rusty finnaly fixed it. Im just anxious to try his solution but Im a noob and i dont really know what the heck he did to fix this. (i dont even know how i did root my phone 0.o)

So, to be clear, he re-rooted his phone back (my phone lets me re-root) and then flashed the stock firmware through TWRP? (what the heck is TWRP). Hope you guys can clarify me.

I have the same exact problem. Same error message from Odin, phone doesnt detect SIM card, phone is ATT version, etc

Thanks again and thank you a million time for the thread!

What happened to rusty was when he was flashing his rooted phone back to stock something happened to were his phone was soft bricked. He used odin the must have app for android phones rooted and non rooted to fix problem, anyways twrp is a custom recovery program for rooted phones to flash a custom rom(os) to rooted phone and various other tasks can be done. Clockworkmod(CMW) and philz are the other custom recovery programs. All do the same just a preference thing.

Ok. I could not re-root using the file i downloaded from the link, but I was able to re-root using another method. Hopefully, it will works. What should I do next?

So is your phone working now? What method are you using?

OK. Here is what happened and what i did.

PROBLEM:
I wanted to revert my phone to its factory firmware and settings, so I tried Odin PC, but some kind of error didnt let me flash the stock firmware (the same error message Rusty Otter had). I then downloaded Mobile Odin and flashed the stock firmware (4.0.4 for SGH-I747), but right after that, for some reason my phone didnt detect the SIM card; no basemand, no IMEI, no 4G, etc.

SOLUTION:
I then re-rooted my phone using Odin 3.07 and CF-Auto-Root for my SGH-I747 (ATT version) DOWNLOAD LINK (be sure to download the correct file for your phone). Then I went ahead and installed TWRP.tar DOWNLOAD LINK (ATT Only) as my custom recovery and installed it with Odin 3.07 too. After that, i downloaded the ATT 4.3 Stock Restore rom here, copied it to my device, and flashed it with TWRP. After the reboot, everything was fine at last!!! SIM Card detected, stock firmware, and the binary flash count was cleared.

So there it is. I couldnt have done it without your help. Thanks you! Hope this helps someone.
