Atrix for $99 for Current ATT Customers

It actually wouldn't surprise me. I was told by an AT&T representative that they would offer unlimited data to me to move from Verizon to AT&T to get the Atrix. I think AT&T is going to pull out all the stops to keep customers from leaving to go to Verizon. And if they can get customers to move to verizon...they will.

They are on the defensive for the first time in a long time - which means customers win.
 
If anybody does find out more info on this, PLEASE DO SHARE.

I am still undecided between this and the Inspire (waiting to play around with both of them).
 
Yeah I'm not sure I trust this source either and $99 seems outrageous, but if anyone gets firm evidence on this please use TIP THIS or shoot a tip to us on Phandroid. Thanks!

which was the reason I posted this. just wanted to see if some one was just blowen smoke. I am not currently on ATT but I figured some one here might be and could confirm.
 
Im with ATT AND signed up for to be notified when info is available, have not had any correspondence about it yet.

Sorry, I meant the author of the newspaper article, not you, but I get what you mean.
 
I havent heard of this either.

I have never even heard of at&t doing a promotion like this so my money is on its false. If not, that guy is pretttty lucky although i feel it would be better used by someone else.

Since this is the internet, I'm going to interpret Marc's post as a Yes, AT&T is doing this, and he'll be returning from his training with Atrix phones for all of us, for $99.

hahah I was planning on doing a borat type fiasco:

step 1 - bring a large bag
step 2 - stuff said bag with Atrix 4gs
step 3- run
step 4- share with my friends at the androidforums atrix 4g forum

Are you serious? I'm currently a VZW customer as well and if this was true I'd jump all over this deal when the Atrix comes out

Excellent, send me the address, and I'll bust in with just a thong between steps 1 and 2, and in the ensuing chaos, you can probably just walk out for step 3.

I'll also be oiled up, so I should be able to escape to participate in step 4...
