Try the App: Quick Settings(not the stock quick settings). Have it set auto brightness. Seems to work OK for me. Always liked Quick Settings. One of the first apps I always download.

Thanks for the recommendation, though setting the auto brightness is not the issue. I actually use EasyProfiles to do such tasks. What I'm wondering is if Auto Brightness can have a minimum level set. Presently, the low-end of auo brightness is too dim.
