Help Auto connect for updates

Hey guys,

Quick question, I have set my updates for Peep and Facebook and Freindstream for every 30 mins, but in order for this to work I need to constantly be connected to wifi or mobile web. I am fine with this, but it makes the battery die so quickly.

Any way I can make my phone auto connect to wifi or mobile web to do the updates, and then auto connect.

Also, any decent facebook app that isnt the default one?

I have also read that you can set different profiles up for work or home etc. How do you do this?

I do not think you can have auto-connect ... you cant.

I also wish Android has this capability, but unfortunately not.

try timeriffic for profiles, unless you mean scenes? Scenes is press menu on the home screen and select scenes.

Try bloo for a facebook replacement, i rate it better than official app.

My people page doesnt appear to be updating to peoples.new Facebook profile pictures despite them being linked. Any idea why?

Settings > accounts and sync > facebook for htc sense

make sure sync contacs is ticked

In update schedule, what is selected? It may be that it just hasnt updated yet.

Tried syncing manually a load of times, still no luck.

It also seems that status updates are a few days behind on this, not end of the world as I have Friendstream widget up, but a bit odd.

It is odd however that some peoples photo albums are updating, showing a more recent profile pic, but the contact pic doesnt update.

Not sure how to get round this.

I to have noticed this with my People widget. Although everyone on it has their Facebook profiles linked only one of them does the contact pic change when updated on FB!

As mentioned above although the sync contacts is checked and updated ticked for every hour... this clearly doesnt happen and it usually 12 -24 hours behind unless manually sync.

Seems very intermittent.
