Help Autobrightness with a max

Is there a way to put a max on the autobrightness feature? I've noticed since the sun started coming out more often here in Chicago my battery life is dropping like a rock.

And while I like the autobrightness feature, it really doesn't ever need to go to full brightness for my usage.

Any ideas? Could've sworn my Droid X had this feature, but I can't seem to find it on the Galaxy Nexus.

download and use widgetsoid. Its similar to the stock power control widget only more customizeable. On the screen tab, enable brightness, then tap on the little tools icon to change the settings. You'll see 'brightness modes' at the top. You can click on it and have custom settings with 3 levels of your choosing.

Yeah I have widgetsoid, but it's not really what I'm looking for in this regard. The shade is close, but not exactly it either.

I just want to set an upper limit... I like how it works in low light and medium light, but I just don't need the full effect I get in bright light.

Don't use the shade just set a custom version. You can set the 3 levels. I run 10% - 30% - 100% but you could set the highest level at 70% or whatever you like.
