Autokiller

I just installed autokiller on my htc hero and set the presets to optimum. Setting the phone to optimum really flies now. However, i wanted to know if their is any draw backs on setting it to optimum instead of agressive or moderate.

there's really no need for an auto killer..... let the OS handle it.. it'll do a much better job and not close tasks that are needed

"Autokiller" isn't a task killer in the conventional sense. It's an app to allow users to adjust the internal LowMemoryKiller parameters.

It's well worth experimenting with, as you can specify a much finer granularity of memory recovery than with global autokill apps. There's a very informative thread at xda-developers, and some more discussion/config comparisons in the MoDaCo custom ROM forums too.
