Help Automatically turn Bluetooth on after USB connection

Ryan_R

Lurker
When I connect my SGS2 to a computer to transfer files, it disables bluetooth, which is fine. The only problem is that it doesn't turn Bluetooth back on when I disconnect the USB cable. This is a tad annoying as I use Bluetooth in the car (would normally connect automatically, so iI wouldn't notice that it wasn't connected unless a call came through).

I've searched here and on the Market but haven't found anything yet.
Any ideas?

Thanks, I read the description and didn't see an event for USB dismount - I'm guessing there's no trial version. If you've got the app already are you able to confirm it can do what I want?

Thanks heaps

(Sorry for delay, didn't realise I have to manually choose to describe; have changed User CP setting).

I'll try it out for you tonight, I'm sure you can do it. At a guess I would probably set up a context for Power, USB connected, and have an exit task (ie when disconnected from USB) to turn on bluetooth.

Regards trials - if you download the trial version from the devs webpage, rather than the Market, it'll give you a weeks trial.

I've installed the demo but am struggling to get it to work - I've tried two ways:

Context - USB Plugged In (invert)
Action - Bluetooth = On (Enter)

Context - USB Plugged In
Action - Bluetooth = On (Exit)

I went to have another go using the 'Media Scan' event as my trigger (since that runs after dsconecting from the PC), but couldn't find it. Then I tried the following which appears to work:

Context - Power (any)
Action - Bluetooth = On
(On Exit)

Thanks

Cool, glad to hear you've sorted it, Tasker is pretty easy to use for simple tasks once you start to get your head around it (I use it for lots of things).
