Change your APN to ATT HPSA+

Using the att mvno I get around 1 meg using the ATT HPSA+ getting around 4meg with 3 bars.

Works will with the newest version of WIFI tether.

The phone supports 3.5G - HSDPA - 3.6-14.4mbps in the specs

What's the apn hpsa+ server information? ZTE Merit doesn't have this in it by default so I'd have to manually add it if I wanted to test this "better" speed you're talking about.

you can just create a new apn or use the tweakker app from the market to create a new apn then edit the apn change from att mnvo to the new 1
 
Really? I didn't think caps had anything to do with it. I have been using this but not with caps. Just changed it & I'll see if I can see a difference.
 
What site are you testing it with? I see no real difference on how many bars I have. I was getting after 5 test, 787kbs. At home with 2 bars. I tried today at work with full bars. 809 kbs with 5 test. On my3gspeed.com
