Root [Avail] [ROM] MH-1.0B and MH-1.0E

Motorhead1991

Android Expert
For our foreign constituants, my ROMs are done (one is more like a flash update). As soon as 4shared is done uploading they'll be posted.

Key features:
-app list identical to the AT&T version (I think I forgot to switch the framework app over in one though)
-my dalvik script
-anthony's kernel
-my altered OC script (in case the boot.img doesn't take)

Extra notes:
VIVO users (MH1.0B), do not format the system partition before flashing, this doesn't have the vital information found in nandroid bases.

BACK UP! any apps you wish to keep in the system, or do a complete nandroid to be safe. If I wrote the script right, the VIVO ROM will dump just the /system/app folder and sync with the existing ROM. I did this for the reason stated above.

Notify me if any problems arise.

MH-1.0.1B (VIVO)

MH-1.0.1E (VIP)

In other news, the ARM v6 processors in these phones can run as hot as 125*F and still survive (ask me how I know ;) )

EDIT: It appears that I've forgotten to button up the build.prop for the VIP version, I'll release a patch for that very soon, some of you can even switch the current one out for the updated one inside the ROM.

More hindsight:
The updater script in MH-1.0B (VIVO) is missing the line that wipes the /system/framework folder, so don't be alarmed if it doesn't work and shows an odexed /framework folder. Looks like 1.0.1 will be out soon :D. Find any errors soon and I'll (attempt to) fix them up. I'm taking a programming hiatus this weekend, so I'm nit releasing anything in the next couple days.

Motorhead1991 I have always aborted zip instal and VIVO and VIP ROM. Where am I wrong? What and how do I do?
Or is it apdate script and go to apdate from sd card?
Give me some detail information about their installation. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK.

i have same problems like zajchik.

when i try to install 1.0B i get E:Error in /sdcard/MH-1.0B.zip (status 4),

and for mh-1.0E it says : amend scripting(update script)is no longer supported.amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.it was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery.please switch to Edify scripting(updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.installation aborted.

i hope this will help in further progress.

:embarassed: I found the problems already :embarassed:. In my haste (and half awake state), I made the following errors.

MH-1.0B: I forgot to put the updater script back into the zip file, causing the "status 4".

MH-1.0E: I left the "update-script" inside it from dsixda's kitchen, causing the "amend/edify" error

So much for my hiatus :D.

I believe I got the patched ROMs finalized, and they will be up tonight. I won't be in a hotspot until 6PM my time (3 hours from now), so they won't be up till then.

[ROM] MH-1.0B has the same mistake again
E: Error in / sdcard/MH-1.0.1B.zip (status 6), as you see now is the status 6th
Just testing the VIP for now everything is working properly. SMS works. More information will give you this time tomorrow.
I'm sorry for MH-1.0.1b because VIVO my favorite.
Thanks for the effort you put:congrats::congrats::congrats:

Better than Status 225 right? :D. I'll look the problem up and get to it.

EDIT: XDA says it's a syntax issue... time for more digging.

Oh, and I appreciate you guys for being unofficial testers, according to anthony06's findings, the base ROMs for these don't play nice with our American phones. Thank you zajchik for your kind words and patience.

Did the kernel load up fine? What about script manager? I'm sure my dalvik script made it through. On a side note, isn't ROM Toolbox awesome?

MH-1.0e seems to work fine....sms,wi-fi,calls are OK...i had few force closes in settings/about phone, and some problems with camera,it also gives me FC.settings are now ok,but problem with camera persists.anyway, good work, and thanks for the effort...

btw,how is your ics project going?????

I'll look into the camera issue as well...

EDIT:
If someone can provide a complete nandroid of VIVO, and not just an update package, I can build a more complete version. That would allow me to use the more conventional flashing script that formats the /system partition instead of deleting portions of it. That may fix my syntax problem.

You're welcome motorhead that I
have to give any information, but
when I am unable to help in creating
knowledge of the ROM. What to say?
ROM is an excellent feel to be faster
than stock VIVO ROM that I used
before. I have no drive, no black
screen after exiting an apk. When
word of the kernel that I am a bit
skeptical, I think you spent too much
battery, so I filled it twice today. I
think you did a good job and to save
the Europeans ate sick.
EDIT:
I will help, but you have to say
exactly what to do. I'm not sure
what really needs

@zajchik: In anthony's kernel thread, he mentioned battery drop for the first couple days while the system recalibrates. With the kernel, I only charge once a day (but I also turn 3g of when I'm not using it.

Also, are you running Clockworkmod recovery?

To everyone else:
How are things running?

clokwoekmod recovery works fine. I made a
backup mh 1.0.1 and everything went fine. I
do not know'll wait couple day so I'll see
how the battery to act. Yesterday I was
trying a lot and I had five hours of
continuous rubbing, hence the battery
down quickly.Yesterday I turned around 14h, 10h now, and I have about 50%.

Dejantt my camera works fine.

Motorhead are not explained to me exactly
what you need from VIVO ROM. Maybe I
could help.

Basically, I need the entire system folder, the copy I have is missing binaries and the whole /etc folder (which has basic info like gps configurations, apns and other stuff).

OK, I'll try to upload it during the day.
If something can mean I can to upload the entire
backup nandroid VIVO.:smokingsomb:

day 3: everything is still running smoothly with MH-1.0.1E. I installed camera 360,it runs perfectly,no FCs.everything else is working fine.battery unplugged yesterday in the morning, phone preety much used(about 2 hours of talking),continuously connected to wi fi,sent some messages, and battery is 30%.it lasts longer than then with any other ROM i used...
