My phone will not sleep. I've had my phone from the first day without
Any problems. I can't figure this out. Not rooted.

Download System Panel from the Market and see what's running. Either a program or a process is keeping your phone awake and most likely on the internet all the time which will also (as you've probably already figured out) will sap your battery REAL FAST!

I have system panel, how do I read or use this? Will it tell me what's constantly awake?

start killing apps you see running one by one until your phone is able to sleep. When you find the app, uninstall it.
