Last night I fully charged my phone and then powered it off. This morning I power on the phone and the batter indicator shows 60 %.... Your kidding me, that's it ?? I have had this phone for about 3 weeks and have "conditioned" the battery.
Hahahahaha. I enjoyed reading that. That's your first post? ... really? A frowny face with the title: "Awww Come on..." ???
Contrary to popular (or maybe not popular...) belief, "conditioning" does not provide any benefit to battery life.Last night I fully charged my phone and then powered it off. Agreed.Something isn't right, if you had a definite 100% charge and turned it off overnight then you should have had basically 100% when your turned it back on. Did you by chance hit the power button but not actually select Power Off on the menu that comes up? That would kill the battery being left in that state, if not then either you didn't have a 100% charge OR your battery is defective.

Thanks guys for your input....starting to think my battery may need replacement. I have the power control widget and have everything turned off. I have also made sure that there are no un-necessary apps running in the background. Wifi and gps are always turned off. When I powered up the phone this morning it showed 60% and I have made one call on it so far. Battery is still showing 60%.
Have you tried Restarting the Phone?
So is it fixed, Inquring minds would like to know.
I think I see where Joe is going with his suggestion- determine if the battery alone is too blame, but I respectfully say: Whats the point? Your phone seems to be losing power at a much higher rate than normal regardless. Maybe there are some exceptions but the average Verizon store employee probably couldn't care less about your careful investigation into the problem and any trial and error troubleshooting methods, especially this time of year. I would be following my normal routine (since this is actually how you use the phone) and if it repeats itself, head to the nearest corporate store with the realistic hope that they replace the entire device.
Again, no disrespect to you and your suggestion Joe. I just may have a little less patience than you do.
It would show you the difference between the phone sucking too much power or just a shoddy battery. Would suck to get a replacement phone and find out it has something wrong with it, when it was just a funky battery.
