Backing UP on custom rom

I have noticed when I go into my es explorer, that there is sd00 and sd01. Is one of these internal storage and the other the external sd card? I am a little confused what these are. When I use the recovery to do a nandroid backup, it puts the back up file in sd00 under clockworkmod-backup. This sd00 appears to be the internal storage, am I correct in assuming this?? When I go into settings-storage, it looks like there are 2 internal storage, then my sd card. What is the first internal storage for (and the name of it, ex sd00 or sd01), what is the second internal storage for?? It appears that my bu are going to the second internal storage. Can I move my backups to the sd card(I have a 64gb card) and when I go to restore, will it let me find the files on my external sd card?

Yea all of that is correct. Aosp ROMs usually save to internal by default and tw saves to external by default.

If you move your backups to external you should move the entire folder it's in over there
But yes you'll be able to fund it and use it still

I have moved the backups (I have three of them), to extsd-clockworkmod-backup-pacinblack. When I go into recovery and click on restore from external sd card, I choose pacinblack (there is three backups in there, it automactically goes to the screen no, no, all the way down to yes to confirm. It does not give me the option to choose one of the three backups. How come it doesn't give me the option to choose on of the 3 backups I have?? I have checked and in this folder, there are indeed 3 backups but recovery just chooses one, which one I don't know??

I have discovered that when I'm in recovery, I go to install zip from sd card-choose zip from ext sd card-clockworkmod-backup-pacinblack, in this file, I see all three of my backups, but when I go into the restore option in recovery all the way to the pacinblack folder, it does not give me that option. I know you use install zip from sd when you install a new rom, can I use that to restore a backup too?? If I can, do I have to do a full wipe and caches clear, like when I install a new rom?? I know when I use the restore option, it does that automactically. How come I can't see my files in the restore menu but there their in the install zip menu???

No you cannot restore from install from zip. When u hit install from zip it only shows u zips to protect u from trying. If it were to let you install from zip a backup or any file you had on your sd your phone would be a paper weight.

Aosp roms put theyre backuos internal by default and tw external by default. U can rename your backups to know what is what. It wont hurt anything. But u can only recovery backups with the recovery u made it with
