Root Backup won't restore

Can someone plz help me understand why on my wifes prevail the the stock backup without root won't restore ... the files are rfs files but on the ctmod backup they are ext4 could this be why?I need to get her phone back to stock..

Flash in cwm, then try to restore the backup.

if it doesn't work, then we may need someone to take a look at our cwm. It may just simply not support rfs

Flashed this several times wit no luck so I just flashed half ass rom for now .. I wold like to have the stock rom w/o kernal but its all good.. thank you for your help

I read shortly after posting that link that the fix was to correct files not correctly installing, not nandroid restore issues... I figured it probably wouldn't help, but it couldn't hurt to try... Thanks for giving it a shot.


If you're looking to just go back to bone stock, you can always use Odin.
