Root Bad battery life with AOSP :(

I get good battery life with aospCMod, have you tried tracking down what is draining your battery? Look under settings>>applications>>running services and see what's running in the background. Look under settings>>about phone>>battery status then click on the battery graph, and on the next page look at the bar under the battery graph, if it's not green, you have signal issues.

The best ROMs for battery life are Harmonia and Rodimus, but every ROM can be tweaked to have almost identical battery life.

the line on the graph was green but the line under signal was yellow orange. the only background processes are yahoomail, launcher ex, and a clock widget.

Try recalibrating your battery meter:

Charge all the way up, boot into recovery, under advanced wipe battery, reboot.

Go for at least two days, and then see how your battery performance is.

If you still have battery issues after this, you may need to do a full wipe in recovery, sometimes pieces of the system img or framework get garbled.

I can get over a days use with very light usage, close to a day with moderate usage, and over 18 hours with heavy usage.

so should I try and reflash? because last night i charged up to a hundred and by today at 3 my battery was dead. I also calibrated using an app from the market a couple days ago that deleted the battery files, not sure if those work though.

When you flashed, did you format boot, system, data, and cache? Failing to format system and/or boot often causes issues.

yes I did. I think ill just reflash sometime later this week unless I figure out how to fix it.
