I have an EVO with a bad esn. Can I take an esn from a Sprint incognito and put it in the EVO and use it on Sprint? Thanks.

I don't think that would work because ESN's are specific to the device it's attached to.
plus what you are suggesting is illegal. you will need to talk to sprint or the previous owner to get the esn issue resolved. there is no other way around this, unless you do it illegally which we will not discuss that here.
