Root Baked Snacks 1.8

Please support the dev and either join his website (www.bakedsnackshack.com) to get early releases or wait the extra few days for the public release. 1.8 isn't officially out yet and if you have it from XDA (or anywhere really) and you're not a member of Baked Snack Shack, you've screwed over a great developer. He gets all of the ROMs and kernels to the public quickly, so either donate a few bucks (he totally deserves it for all the work he puts in) or just wait while the people who did donate try it out.

Any link you see to download Baked Snack kernels and ROMs on XDA is NOT necessarily legit. Hero (the dev) stopped posting and supporting there because people are hijacking his pre-release stuff and he's rightly sick of it. Get the real stuff at www.bakedsnackshack.com please.

(I'm not affiliated with this dev and his group in any way, just want you guys to know this stuff.)

I joined made a donation and still waiting to hear back from them or get into the forum. Would like to test the rom but they seem to be on an extended lunch break or something.:cool:

I never got my email letting me know I had access, but I just went back a couple days later and clicked on Forum and got in.

Check back in a couple days.

I have sent emails to the person that gets the donation and their supposed suport but nothing which sucks since i only donated to get access to the new release early. Well i run Flipz rom most of the time cause the battery is better anyway. So much for 24 hrs. hahahahahaha :cool:

Wow sorry to hear that. Anyway I posted this thread on one of the Baked forum thread. It's a fairly active thread so I'm sure this will be addressed by them.
 
I donated today and I am waiting for the link to 1.8. Is Baked usually quick about giving access I am getting anxious. :D

thank you very much for posting this man. i did not know i was missing requests. the problem is that i have to accept every request manually. and sometimes people will not give the email address they donated with or sometimes they dont give any info. and tbh sometimes i might miss some. if you ever see that around. please tell people that all they need to do is send another request with the email address you donated with. to any and all who had delay to get in. im super sorry and it was not intentional in the slightest

Well i wish i would have never donated. 3 days several emails and still waiting. PRICELESS hahahahaha Maybe tomorrow ormaybe it will be out to the public and fudge them. Lesson learned :cool:

The download page on baked snack has two radio zip files...HTC radio and a Wimax..flash both of those after the rom....the Wimax flash should enable the 4G...???

Update... 1.8 is now available to the public. I just downloaded it from his site.
 
First and foremost I want to apologize for any and inconveniences anyone has experienced. Our forum structure was updated this week and caused me to lose our entire configuration. We didn't lose our members just how backend admin tasks which caused us to not receive requests. Hero_Over and I were told by a couple of people that they were having problems and the situation has been addressed. For those who have registered and haven't been given access please e-mail me (posted on the bottom of bakedsnackshack.com) with any and all information you can give me. I will ensure your information is then sent to Hero_Over for verification.

Huoter - you have an email coming from me...I registered over a week ago and never got confirmation to allow me access to the forum. The welcome email went to my spam folder, but I've been checking there, daily, and nothing. Thanks for joining and addressing this matter.
 
Yeh i will get it off the site but just goes to show i need to stick with Flipz he emails you and lets you know where to get the latest update. Plus his battery life is the best of all i have tried. :cool:

I installed the latest Fresh around midnight last night and I've already taken it off and replaced it with Baked Snack 1.8. Visually so far it's more to my liking, but I have yet to test out the performance.

what's different visually?
 
For those with 1.8 stock, is your phone as smooth as this one? To get 1.8 as smooth as this I had to flash kernel #6 over it. Supposedly 1.8 had built in kernel 6 but no way did it run like this stock. At least not on my phone. I'm getting confirmation about 1.8 with kernel 6 on Baked Snack forum. Hopefully I get an answer.

Pay attention to when I'm scrolling in contacts and when it starts to slow down it doesn't stutter. Also when moving around in Dungeon hunter it is very fluid. Almost slow motion like.

Loaded it tweaked it and battery still drains pretty fast. That is the only real drawback for me since battery life is most important when bouncing in and out of meetings and keeping up with the real world. :cool:

Ok so does this mean now you will not honor my donation and give me access to your forum and dl's? If so ok but it has been 3 days several emails and request and still not able to get in. So would you really expect me to be excited about that. I am an IT person and luv to test and play. I live on the cutting edge just so i know what is the latest greatest. :cool:
