Baseball 2025

I was getting antsy about my MLB package so I thought I had best do my research. I first looked at the "Subscribe to Extra Innings" channel on DirecTV to see what they were charging this year. There was no information so I entered the channel only to see their logo... nothing more. I next logged onto my account at DTV. It shows what programing tier I'm subscribed to and the MLB (Extra Innings) package. I go to their add / change / drop option page and the MLB package is listed at zero charge per month and an option to drop the add on. I just don't see that happening. :) Wooohooo. They told me two or three years ago that they were gifting me the NFL and the Extra Innings package for my subscriber loyalty. That was the last year they had the NFL package. Ever since then they have given me their MLB package. I guess it's working.... I'd move onto a streaming service in a heart beat if not for the gifted package.

Real, it counts, baseball starts tomorrow. I'm way ready!
I'll be rooting for the Royals again. I'm hoping for the team to be as respectable as last season. I never expect big things from the franchise and it saves me a lot of disappointment. I still root hard and bitch at the tv when they play stupid ball and cheer the great plays when they happen. I love baseball!!! It's a great game to play and at my age... to watch. :)

I was just gonna post that. You beat me to it!

Let the games begin. Who is "your" team @Steven58 ? I am a Royals guy through and through. I will root for the Padres and have for a few years now. Ever since Hosmer was traded from the Royals to the Padres I followed and rooted. He's retired now but the connection still lingers. I admire the Dodgers though I don't root for them. I've rooted for the Red Sox being as that is @Clementine_3 team. I'll root again! I have room for another team... please don't tell me you are a yanks fan. :)

I was a yank fan growing up. Most all of their games were on the local radio. There wasn't a Kansas team and the Cardinals were clear on the other side of Missouri. Mantle and Maris and Berra... there was a lot to like about the Yanks in the sixties. Great role models and reps of the game! Your question implies that I at some point loved you. 🤣 I'll not hold your choice of teams to root for against you as long as you don't laugh at my choice.

Mantle a role model? (Milk came out of my nose). Maris and Berra, definitely.

Verizon for my cells and ATT / DirecTV internet & TV
I have cricket for my main cell. Xfininity gave me a free line, so I popped it onto my android. I don't use it though. LOL
BUT I HAVE IT.

It's difficult to not like free. I started out my mobile communications back in the 70s with a free 2meter radio and repeater access. It was the forerunner to cell phone technology. You could talk user to user and hit a code to drop the repeater to a landline. I knew the guy well that owed the repeater and sold the radios. He wanted to put up a second repeater but the license was limited to just one per person. I signed up for the second repeater license and took a radio and access as trade. The only problem with the system is you could hear all conversations and everyone could hear yours and the coverage area was about a thirty mile radius from the repeater tower. It was quite an improvement from smoke signals. :)
