hey guys,

my battery dies at 10% then when i turn it back on it bootloops for a few mins and then wont come back on until i charge it, ive reset battery stats and done the correct chargingethod

what is wrong? im running manu 1.4 kernel on the latest miui xj

If you want your phone to die at 1% instead of the 10% then as you have Manu 1.4, you cn download nexus one battery calibration from the market

really, i thought it was more than that. i found miui smoother and faster than cm6 tbh
dunno what the new stuff is like tbh since they went to GB

Isn't it supposed to be bad for the battery to let it drain to 1%?

Yes, but it doesn't.

The Device stops it at 10-15% (seems to vary on every desire) as protection to prevent this. This calibration Doesn't make it go down lower than 10-15%. It just changes the stats so that that 10-15% is SEEN as 1%

So affectively the 85-90% of the battery you were using before is the same, except they have stopped it reading that 10-15% that you cant use.

Ahh ok. That's useful actually. It's always bothered me that they don't call the 10% mark 0%.

The only thing that bothers me now is it appears to go down faster. It doesn't but each percentile is worth less. After nearly a year and a half of dying at 15% its hard to get used to
