Help Battery dies on charger

Is anyone else having an issue of leaving your EVO plugged in over night, the screen turns on and random points, and get up in the morning and it is completely dead? After I pull the battery, let it charge enough to turn on, and charge it the rest of the way it's fine but if I leave it for, presumably a few hours as I am asleep, at fully charged it completely discharges the battery. Any ideas?

Do you have access to another battery? Sounds like a battery problem to me

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have indeed tried a new battery but it yields the same results. I place it on the charger when i go to bed, when i get up the battery is completely dead i have to pull it out, put the battery back in let it charge for a few minutes, turn the phone on and let it charge all over again.
