So im experiencing a lot of the same issues most of you have. Had the problem with the phone making the charger plugged in, unplugged sound on its on. cleaned it. fixed it and then it came back. Downgraded to a previous firmware b/c i thought the recent LPW firmware caused the issues...this is not the case. I did the downgrade to LPS and did a reset and plugged the phone into the wall to charge and now it wont turn on at all. Battery reads 3.9V...nothing happens when i plug it in to the charger or my PC..any help?

Ive ordered a new battery (b/c it needs to be replaced anyway if i ever get this fixed) and a new USB connector/flex cable..shown here:

New Charging Charger Connector Port USB Flex Cable For Samsung Galaxy S 2 i9100 | eBay

if this isnt the issue, i dont know what is.

It sounds like a hardware issue, so if a replacement battery doesn't make a difference I suggest sending it to Samsung for service.

i tried my wife's AT&T SGS2 battery and it didnt make a difference. I hope the new USB connector port does though. I left the battery out overnight and still cant get it on today. So disappointing.

EDIT: she used my battery in her phone all nigh with no issues, so i know my battery is fine.

wanted to update. its been almost a week now, no change. still waiting on the usb charging port. if this was in fact bad, would it actually keep it from turning on?
