Ok, so like many of you I have tried this. I charged my phone to 100% while it was turned on. I unplugged it, turned the phone off and plugged it in again. It started charging and after 15 minutes it turned green again (phone is still off). So I unplugged it and waited 5 sec and plugged it in again and guess what? Yeah, it charged again for 10 min or so. I have repeated this 4 times with the same result. Finally, after the 4th time the light turned green within 30 seconds. I've turned the phone back on thinking it is now fully charged. After 26 texts, 3 calls, checking 2 email accounts and 1 hour awake time...I am at 76%. In other words...I don't believe it made any difference.
I'm gonna bet HTC did this on purpose because the last 10% takes much longer to charge and they didn't want to give the impression that their phone takes way longer to fully charge than someone else not using LiPoly technology.
THE EXPERIMENT: I plugged in my phone last night and woke up this morning to a green LED. I turned my phone completely off and plugged it again. Alas, a red LED which did not turn green for another 20 mins. I then unplugged my phone and plugged it back in again; RED LED for another 20 mins! I did the same thing over, in total of 3 times.
So you did all three steps , three times over?
Im in the process of doing what you did , just want to know if i have to do the 3 stage process , 3 times... lol...
If that makes any sense
Wonder if seido 1750 behaves like this
Absolutely it does....running one right now.
Just to clarify - you're saying that if you charge the seido until green, and then turn the phone off, the LED turns red?
Yup, that's what I'm saying.
