Battery gauge issues?

So ive noticed that the phone will charge and discharge like crazy under around 60%. After that it takes forever to charge and forever to go down.

Is this some kind of battery defect im experencing? I do have the real samsung extended battery.

I've not seen nor heard of this problem. It sounds like it could be a battery problem or a problem with the battery data and reporting. Have you pulled the battery? Have you let it fully charge to 100%? Fully discharge?
Are you charging via the AC adapter that come with the phone? The phone wants 1 amp and many aftermarket or other mfg chargers may only put out 500 milliamps. Same with USB. That may explain slow charging.

I'm using 1a blackberry chargers.. maybe I'll try one of those anker battery's and see how that goes before ordering another Samsung one
