Newbie
Hello all - First post in my phone's forum. I am having a bit of an issue with the battery life of my new phone. I left Blackberry Pearl which I went through 3 batteries in 2 years. Now that I have a much smarter and better phone I was hoping I would I would not have battery issues. I am noticing I charge the phone over night - go to work in the am and then the battery seems to be at less then 10% by 6 pm. Any advice. I dont talk on it much or sms or email too much - some games for about 30 mins total during the day and some web during the day but still dead battery

Thanks

HTC's battery size is not their strong point. I have 2 htc's. I would:

1) control how often your apps check the internet for updates
2) get another battery and/or
3) get an extended battery.

Additionally, you can root your phone to rid yourself of bloat and you can streamline.

Check out the screen brightness settings, bluetooth and GPS settings..
Turn them on only when required..
If your phone is new...wait for some daily charge-recharge cycles before the battery gives its best performance..

Thanks for the responses.

I do keep gps/bluetooth/locations/data sync all off and Brightness down to almost nothing. My phone is about 4 weeks old so it has gone through a few charge uncharge cycles.

@steven58

The extra batteries - Can I get them from Bestbuy? or direct from HTC? The extended batteries cost how much more and give what kind of boost?
Sorry for all the questions - just new to this

just wondering can the battery last longer if i turn the sync to manual? and keep the backgroud data. need help pls :) new to htc

Yes it cn Last longer if u do that. turn GPS off, BLUETOOTH, wifi ( is always a killer as it keeps searching ) turn off live wallpaper.

I heard back from HTC and Once I can acess my Email I will Copy and paste all the info they gave me, Mind u most of them I already did
