The overall problem is that with the exception of the DroidX, the smartphone mfg seem to be content with the current (awful) battery life. Any power savings is immediately eaten up by faster processors and bigger brighter screens. There really hasn't been any meaningful improvement in battery life in the 6 years I've been using smartphones (nor the pda's that preceded them). The consequence is that forums like this are littered with battery life threads, the market is filled with sometimes dubious battery saver apps and users are forced to buy additional (I have 3) or extended batteries and chargers. I for one would welcome a phone that instead of offering the next 2ghz unobtanium processor and super duper amoledtftbfd screen instead had a battery that would last a day of heavy use without additional or pregnant guppy like extended batteries.
Had the phone for five days now. Surfed the net, called a few times, took a few photos.....battery conked out after 6 hours...anyone used an extended battery on this thing?
Great phone......but seriously sh!t battery....hope I didn't offend any die-hard fanboys on here....
