This was the result of unplugging my phone at 12am(went to bed),going to work(8am) and using it sporadically throughout the day.A few texts here and there, a couple of calls, and was playing music with it all day. Please note that I had disabled 4g and was using evdo and 1x all day unless I needed something done quickly.I have setCPU max:1188 and min:540000 on demand.I still had 15% battery left when I plugged it in to charge

added:Forgot to mention i had all my syncs disabled including background data.Music was playing through headphones.I tried this setup using my wireless bluetooth ear buds and battery low came on after 7 hours, this was the first warning that pops up when battery gets to 15% i believe.

What is your problem with this? It looks pretty normal to me. If you didn't do much then you would expect those two to be the top users of power. 4G or not, the phone is still communicating with the network all the time. The only concern you could have is if the time without a signal is high.

Oh i know theirs nothing wrong,i was a bit surprised lol,my old phone didnt even come close to that.

naruto heres the link to the app i use for the 4g http://tinyurl.com/4gtoggle

hit the first option and then select cdma, you can turn it off/on as you wish.it seems to work on the fly.

lol, wtf is not always negative. It's like when you see a ridiculously hot girl and you're like wtf? Then you go talk to her and you can't believe that you've been banging her for the last few weeks. That's life. =)

Expect great things!

Why don't you guys thank the op for taking the time to do screen shots and uploads and shit so we can learn how to get sick battery life?

Come on, don't be precious with that thanks button!

you can also look for "power controls" or "quick settings" on the market that will let you toggle just about anything with one touch.

im still trying to find a shortcut app that will let me toggle background data.

I've learned that screen is a bit deceiving because when you charge mid-way through, there's parts of your battery that seem to last longer than others. The way I get accurate measurements is by letting it charge to 100% (at this point it resets all stats on it's own), then I use it until it shuts off, taking a screenshot when the battery is very low.

Realistically even with 4G off i'm getting about 8-10 hours. I'm experimenting with certain things to improve that.

found it

search "widgetsoid" on the market. awesome app.

I just use airplane mode as needed = for me battery life problem fixed. I had one charge last a 10hr shift.and still went home with a lil less than 50% life

I get about 8to9 hours with 2x battery with mid use no more overheating it just stop after I charged fully about 6 times that's letting it go from a 100 to shutdown

Strange, my battery is lasting quite a bit longer today and I didn't disable 4G. Wondering if the battery becomes better calibrated after full charge and discharge a few times. One thing is different for sure vs the Esteem is that you don't see system_server in the battery stats either because it's hidden or just fixed. If it's correct then it looks very efficient by comparison.

I see the same effect after draining it completely twice.

I tried this "training" or "conditioning" on other phones, whenever flashing new roms involved wiping battery stats, but this time it really did something. It looks like it can do well over 12 hours with 4G on.

you're getting 12 hours with 4g always on with the standard 1540 mah battery?

i find that hard to believe..

this will be the second time i've cycled the battery. im gonna leave 4g on all day and see the results.

i dont see myself getting 12 hours..

Having 4G network on in a good coverage area (3-4bars) vs. Having 4G network in a horrible coverage area (1bar or none) will have a drastic effect on battery life.

When I'm in uptown, I get 3 or 4 bars, and the battery last hours longer. Whereas, when I'm at home with 1 or no bars, I can watch the percentage go down.

im pretty good with phone coverage here. i never have less than 3 bars.

i gave up on the experiment when my battery lost 12% of its power in less than 30 minutes. i'll be lucky if it lasts 4 hours at that rate.

cant wait until they come out with an adequate extended battery for this phone. if they come out with a back cover for that 3000 mAh extended battery they have for sale that fits the connect, i'll buy it immediately.

Try that link I posted on the 6th post.it helps battery DRAMATICALLY,I mean come on we dont really use 4g all the time and if we need it we can just turn it back on.It does it on the fly!
