Battery life!!!!

Man dont yall wish u had battery life like me? I just ordered a 3 pack of batteries B.C. I think mine is done for:eek: see for your self

I started at 100 percent by the way

Nope. I've came to the conclusion that it must be the battery.. I've got a pretty good understanding of how to power save and it's just not helping.
 
Well got the batteries... I charged 1 really good before using it. So far so good. Had Pandora playing and screen on for 20 mins and it still hasn't went below 100%

I'll check back in when the battery is actually dying and compare
 
I think my battery reads 100% for about 10 seconds before it immediately drops down to 98%....my battery drops drastically so damn fast and I am not over clocked and brightness all the way down the whole time. I usually only get about 8 hrs or less with mine.

PS- I saw you were the OP so I figured you were creating a thread on how good your battery was...lol was going to be jealous until I checked the screen shots
 
I do use a battery calibration app to clear the battery status file when I change the ROM. I can easily run all day with average use and with light use have gone up to a couple days.

Yea man I've been getting really bad batt life for awhile. Decided to get new batteries because I knew mine was done for. I'm getting better life now but I cheated and charged awhile before going out. I'll try and Run a full cycle without charging tomorrow and post the screenshots
 
i've had issues with battery life since i got this phone. doesn't matter if i'm running stock, JB, TW based rom, ICS... whatever it's all the same result. it blows my mind.

i'm hoping i'll find some magical thing that will make everything better, but i'm not holding my breath.
 
Ya I know the s2 owners manual says to not use anything but Samsung stuff or the universe will implode into ur phone screen. Jw... was thinking about getting an extra battery and charger like a friend of mine also seems to be having success with.

All manufacturers say that about their products. Will the universe actually implode into your phone's screen, hmm would be a cool effect. LOL
 
Not sure if this will work on other ROMs but I'm running Touched By SGS3 with this tweak...so far...my battery is screaming crazy! If you read my other postings my battery life suck balls. I usually lose avg of 25% over night with wifi turned on and about 15% with wifi turned off (just 3G on). Mind you, I also have horrible cell signal at home. Last night I left the wifi turned on to test and woke up this morning with barely 1% down. I'll test it out throughout today with normal usuage and see how my battery life goes then report back...stay tune! :D

In a poor signal area I use airplane mode to turn off cellular then turn on WiFi to surf and stuff. I then go into the advanced WiFi settings and set it to allow the WiFi to sleep when the phone does. I get fantastic battery life, going 1.5 to 2 days. You might get similar with cellular turned on but mobile data (3g) and 4g turned off and WiFi on but allowed to sleep.

Yea, I've tried the wift sleep setting as well and didn't really help me much but that is when I was running stock, but I'll try that setting again.

As to airplane mode, that means I wouldn't receive any calls and texts. :D:rolleyes:

true in airplane mode you wont receive calls and texts, but instead leave cellular on and turn off mobile data and 4g, and use WiFi. If you leave Mobile data on and have WiFi sleep the phone will go to your 3g every time the phone sleeps. If mobile data is off then when WiFi sleeps you will be saving power when you are in a poor signal area. You still will get standard SMS texts as they actually come in on regular cellular and not 3g.
