Help Battery Problem, 1 week old phone

Ever since I have bought sony experia ray i have felt the battery is pretty weak. My old phone was not a smartphone and it lasted me 1-2 weeks before having to recharge it. I realize that smartphones last like 1-2 days but my battery is just nuts.

First of all, it often notifies me that battery is being drained and a red icon appears. I am now charging it and even now the red icon is there! Also when I play games, i lose 10% every half hour, is that normal? How do you get rid of the red icon? I have tried to stop most apps running that i dont need and it still happens, help please.

red icon? i dont know of any red icon.... please describe it more ... when battery starts draining a power saver mode is activated.... that is two hands holding the Ray in between...

please connect your Ray to pc and download the latest software ICS....

then revert

2 ways to fix that:

2. Battery Calibration App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=en

Both works, but no harm in trying the other if one didn't work

That's 1-2 days with light use. Less than a day for heavy browsing, video playback or gaming.

Yep, sounds normal.
