Help battery problem or charger problem?

hi, little help needed...

iv had my desire for a few months with no problems until this week... after leaving it on charge over night expecting it be fully charged, i woke to see it was actually less than the night before, and the orange LED was on and the battery icon was moving.

i have since tried another charger (it was a sony experia charger) and this seemed to work. So my question is, is it my phone or a charger issue??????

if you tried a different charger and it worked fine, wouldnt that suggest it was the charger?
