Help Battery problems.

Hi first post so I'm not entirely sure if this is in the correct section.

Right this may be a bit long winded so bear with me, last week my battery started playing up, for example the battery indicator will tell me I've got 86% remaining then 5 minutes later the its telling me to connect my charger then it cuts out, when I'm charging it will stay at 68% for a while then ping straight to 100%, at first I thought the battery indicator app that was just giving incorrect readings but I've removed the app and replaced it with another and its still happening, yesterday I charged it from 11am and took it out of charge at 13:45 and it was fully charged, at 14:50 it had cut out, I had only used my 3g 10 minutes. Pain the arse. Any ideas? App running in the back ground draining a full battery in an hour? Battery app not giving a correct reading? Or is the battery just f*cked?


I've checked its 'health' and it says it's good, I'm due an upgrade next month so don't really want to buy a new battery or send the phone back for repair, it's about 18 month old.

I assume you ain't rooted?
If you are rooted, replace the battery stat under your recovery.

If not try the battery calibration technique, it is said that doing this will damage your battery if done many times but if it's knackered then I'd try it.
