battery saving with the new update?

Since the update is there any new battery saving tips?

About 4-5 days ago, my battery is getting killed only when I make or recieve calls. If I dont make calls, my battery will last me almost 48 hours with moderate use. Verizon is sending me a new battery but I dont think it will help.

You wanna save your battery? Go into settings, Privacy, and uncheck both 'Back up my data' and 'Automatic restore'. Those things will suck you down if you are in fringe coverage as they try to store all of your settings. Instead, if you are rooted, just make a nandroid back in Clockwork recovery (Droid X Bootstrapper will get you there).
