Root battery seriously screwed???

cyaiphone

I currently have my OEM battery in my evo. I've only used this thing for about a month before i bought an extended battery for my phone. I decided to go back to the thin feel and look of my phone. My battery has been pretty bad! I get like two hours of streaming before im down to 10% (tune in radio)

today i charged it in the external charger. Put in my phone. Phone read 100% at 8am. it's now 9:23 am and i haven't done a damn thing and I'm at 63%:mad::mad::mad:

im on mikfroyo 4.4/netarchy-toastmod-4.3.1-cfs-havs-nosbc

set cpu is 245/614 with off screen profile of 245/245

does anyone know what could be going on? i have 3g/wifi/gps/sync always off until i need it, then turn back off when i'm done.

going from a full 100% to 61% (percentage just dropped 2% while typing this, it was at 63% as listed above) does not seem normal at all.

any help???

you might want to do this when you have the time to fully charge your phone. but run it all the way till it dies. Then plug in to charge...boot up- go to your recovery and select battery wipe and then let it completely charge. if dont work come on back!!!!!!!!!!

If you are talking wiping the battery stats there is a specific way to wipe them;)

Look Here on how to recalibrate your battery. Go to 2.4, Battery recalibration

It seems to me that if you're getting that much battery drain so quickly, there is something more to your problem than just battery stats. Have you checked Spare Parts to see if you have a partial wake issue?

Also, what PRI version are you running? Sometimes a downgrade to the PRI helps for a drastic battery drain like that.

It's probably something we can fix, but we need a little bit more info. Have you always used the kernel you're on?

I have spare parts. What exactly am I looking for in there? I've never really used it or now how to.

my PRI was downgraded back to 1.77 after installing new radios.

Ok you need to go to Battery History, then click on the "other usage" pulldown and select "partial wake usage". If you have anything showing a huge partial wake amount, it means the process is running while your screen is off. So potentially, you have a process that won't stop running while you think your phone is sleeping.

And I don't know what ROM you're on, but the other day, I had issues where my 4G was stuck trying to either connect or turn off, and I didn't realize it. So it was eating my battery. So you never know what might be running without your knowledge until you check that setting in Spare Parts.

im on mikfroyo 4.4 i dont have 4g in my area

I had everything off but for the last hour i turned everything off to drain it.

I did partial wake since last unplugged and tune in radio was almost full. everything else has very little amount of blue bar. when i change it since boot(this morning) it shows a UID10119 as the longest blue bar and then tune in radio after that.

there is an xda thread on fixing this.. I'll try and find and post you a link...

think it says some thing like let your phone sit for 2 hr after charging then check your wake locks.. give me a few and I'll find the link....

well there are a zillion threads on this but with a little research you can learn a lot .... but the app "tune in radio" looks like it never shuts off.. if you dont use it get rid of it.. if not check the apps setting and see if it set to update or roam for a signal.. not to sure what UID10119 is.. maybe akazabam will chime in he is awasome with wake lock issues .....
