Root Battery Terminal

Ok so im using OverStocked.
My battery was at 36 %
Wasnt moving.
Took it out. Wiped it off (the terminal). And it said 12%
Wiped it off again it said 40%
Wth?
Whats wrong with it?

Battery might need to be calibrated.

Let it die completely.
Charge it to 100%.
Boot into recovery and wipe battery stats.
